We Joined a Church Today

We had been attending this church off and on for the last 3 or 4 years as back row attenders but we had never made the commitment to join and become active. After we had Milo we got to thinking about how we wanted to raise him and the casual, Sunday, back row, come-in-worship-and-leave-without-speaking-to-anyone attender was not it. So we finally decided now was the time to make it official and get involved. Chris and I were both were raised in the church and went all our lives but neither one of us had ever done anything you could call joining a church. It feels so grown up like we are officially adults now. I know you would think getting a college degree, getting married or having a baby would have made us feel grown up but this was just like another step on the road to adulthood. I am so close to 30 and I still don't feel like a grown up most of the time. Chris says one of the thing she likes about me is my sense of whimsy and child like fun so I guess it's okay!
