Speech Therapy

Milo had his evaluation for speech therapy yesterday. He is not as far behind as I feared that he was which was quite a relief. But the therapist said there were some definite things to work on mainly in his expressive speech. She wasn't very detailed in her evaluation yesterday. We will go next week and get a more in depth assessment of where Milo is and where they want to go with him. It's looking like we will be going to speech therapy 1-2 times a week until he starts to improve in his communication. They said that parents can be as involved in the child therapy sessions as they want to. I am really excited about that so that I can learn what they are doing and reinforce it at home.
He has his feeding therapy evaluation next Tues. I am really looking forward to that one. Meals have become battles and he has still not gained any weight. I am hoping they can get him in quickly to start that whole proccess.
